Lambing season went well this year. 10 ewes delivered 20 lambs. I had two that did not get pregnant so that dropped our average down a bit. 13 ewes will be in the breeding flock for 2021. Will consolidate pictures for a nice slide show later as the weather gets bad and I have more time in the house.
2020 Lambing is coming fast. We should start by March 25th if someone doesn't pop early. Girls are all in the yard with the barn, so they can go in and chill if needed. We have 12 ewes that are pregnant by 2 different rams. It looks like lots of twins this year hopefully. We do not do ultrasounds so it is a wait and see game.
We just got the results back for Johne's OPP and CL and the flock is good. We had three ewes who were hard to draw and we will have to get them when the vet comes, but they were good last year, so should be fine this year.
Pricing:
Lamb Ewe or Ram with one registry of your choice $550. Each additional registry $25. For all three registries a ram or ewe will be $600. Wethers are $400 unregistered. The cost of all health certificates and tests that are required for transporting out of Washington are the responsibility of the buyer We will accommodate reasonable testing but it must be paid for by buyer in advance.
All Lambs need to be picked up within 30 days of purchase or 30 days of weening. If they stay longer a fee may be added for maintaining the animal during that time.
All of our Southdown Babydoll lambs are given CD/T shots and will have their tails docked.
We make no guarantee that our lambs are all tame and friendly. Our lambs stay with their moms and they are socialized with the sheep, not people.
